Hello
I am Prescella Monger, an art enthusiast, world traveler, marketer, and dedicated volunteer. In 2024, I established Alexandria’s Art House, named in honor of my late sister, Virginia Alexandria Monger, who passed away in 2020. Virginia shared my passion for art and travel, and through this platform, I aim to connect fellow art and travel enthusiasts with exceptional works by emerging artists from around the globe, as well as unique travel destinations to explore. My services encompass art consultation and procurement, alongside travel advice designed to enhance your local experiences.
My Story
From a young age, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for art. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, I was captivated by the street art as I explored neighborhoods such as Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bushwick, Williamsburg, Lower Manhattan, and Harlem. While I have dabbled in still life drawings, acrylic paintings, portraits, and landscape photography, I defer to the true masters for expertise. I view myself as a lifelong student of the art world, continually expanding my knowledge through travel and engaging conversations. In 2017, I earned my Master’s Degree in International Business after participating in a rotational program in Shanghai, London, and Dubai at Hult International Business School. My passion for travel and tourism has always been a driving force; in my spare time, I visit art galleries and museums worldwide, from the High Museum of Art in Atlanta to the Louvre in Paris. In 2020, I obtained a certification in Hospitality and Tourism Industry Essentials from NYU School of Professional Studies.

I have traveled to over twenty countries, immersing myself in diverse art and culture. Most recently, I experienced Carnival across the Caribbean, collecting fine art from local talents such as Glenroy Jordan, Beverly Valdez, Kibwe, and Kristianne Buxo, among others. You can explore my Caribbean Art Collection here. There is a profound difference between merely visiting a country and bringing a piece of it home with you. Each artwork I have collected serves as a reminder of my connection to the people and cultures encountered along my journey. Art is life, and investing in it is a significant rite of passage. The joy of discovering and acquiring a piece that resonates with you is unparalleled. I am eager to help you experience this for yourself; whether you seek to build a collection, make a statement, or find a meaningful gift, I am here to transform your artistic visions into reality.
